AHCI Grand Rounds - Consider the Caregiver

AHCI Grand Rounds recording of February 18, 2026. Allison Breininger, Executive Director of The Negative Space, invites the audience to shift their perspective in clinical encounters by paying attention not only to the patient but also to the “second patient”—the caregiver who accompanies them. She emphasizes the importance of recognizing and acknowledging the needs of this often-overlooked caregiver in the room. Allison encourages participants to reflect on how they can better acknowledge and support caregivers in their daily work and helps craft intended next steps, reinforcing the value of intentional follow-through as caregivers return to their busy routines.

3. Identify 2 or more potential impacts on caregivers' health that results from the role.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations received in writing no less than 10 days prior to the course start date are eligible for a full refund. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after the 10-day deadline. If an emergency arises after the activity syllabus or presentation materials have been made available to you, a 50% refund will be granted. All cancellation requests must be sent to [email protected].
